“What People Are Saying About Game Ready”

“We have been using the Game Ready cold therapy and intermittent compression system for some time now.  The ease of use, portability, and above all its clinical effectiveness makes it the obvious choice for the application of cold therapy as part of a treatment regime for both acute injures or just managing ongoing problems.  It is the choice of modality for both the medical staff and the players whether at home or on tour with the England Team.”

Gary Lewin – Head of Physiotherapy
Dr Ian Beasley – Head of Medicine
The Football Association

“I was initially very sceptical in 2007 whilst working as team physiotherapist to the senior England international rugby union side when I was introduced to Game Ready.  However, scepticism soon turned to fascination with the cold and compression therapy as I immediately saw the benefits of such an effective and efficient method of the dual action system.  It sold itself due to its simplicity and ease of use with highly innovative cold/ compression wraps that fit all contours of the body.  More importantly, I have found it to be the most effective cold and compression system in reducing pain and swelling associated with sports injury or post-surgical cases, and can be used systematically for recovery post competition or training to reduce muscle soreness.  I have seen all athletes using Game Ready demonstrate a high degree of compliance in cold and compression therapy due to the safe, easy to use and highly effective nature of the Game Ready units.  I highly recommend Game Ready to anyone working in sports medicine.”

“For a number of years now, the Game Ready System has proven to be an invaluable piece of kit for our players, whether on tour or completing rehabilitation at home. It excels at two critical aspects of acute injury management - cold and compression - and overcomes the limitations of other units we have trialed due to its effectiveness, portability and easy-to-use anatomical wraps.”

Mark Young
Lead Physiotherapist

“With the fixture schedule English Premier League Football clubs face and the physical demands that this creates for today’s professional footballer, Game Ready has become an integral part in helping footballers not only recover from injury faster, but also stay fit and perform at the intense level expected in English Football.  With the majority of our first team now Game Ready users, having access to Game Ready is proving invaluable.

“A huge thank you to Game Ready following my recent knee surgery.   I’m really happy with how it has worked.  For a person like myself, being able to initially use the machine overnight and control movement was a key factor.  It has certainly been a big influence in reducing the swelling and being able to see my kneecap for the first time in over four years!”

"Game Ready is having a massive impact on the number of athletes able to train and compete in a contact sport like Judo where being injured is the norm.  We see rapid results with reducing prepatellar and infrapatellar swelling in knees. Game Ready now forms an important part of post operative rehabilitation allowing our athletes to recover faster, especially after knee and shoulder surgery, and complete the necessary volume of work without irritation. The portability and user-friendly nature of the unit has allowed us to use Game Ready at the European and World Championships. The fact that our athletes love Game Ready just enhances its impact!”

"I have been a physiotherapist for 9 years and in that time have had the privilege of working with elite sports teams within Australia and Great Britain along with excellent private practices.  The pressure to return professional athletes and the layperson to their chosen sport/ activity continues to grow and as such I am constantly searching for technology to aid this process.   I can honestly say that the Game Ready system has been the most efficient modality in performing this function. Its ability to reduce swelling and pain is second to none and as a direct result has allowed many a player and patient to commence earlier rehabilitation. I would whole heartedly recommend the product and am very proud that Kensington Physio is able to offer this wonderful piece of kit to its patients and to those of Orthopaedic surgeons."

“I’ve been using Game Ready after first experiencing its benefits with the England Cricket Squad in 2008.  After having further surgery on my knee, I purchased my own system as it controls the pain and swelling unlike anything else available on the market and assists you to get on with rehabilitation.  It is an essential part of my management even after returning to full activity.
I would thoroughly recommend Game Ready to anyone.”

“Having worked as a full-time physiotherapist in professional sport for over 7 years and now within a specialists sports injury clinic, I can truly say that I have seen the many benefits that the Game Ready has to offer across the whole population, from your seasoned pro, to your weekend warrior. With the dual action wraps, no injury can go uncovered. Maintaining temperature throughout each programme setting whilst applying continuous intermittent compression helps take the traditional “RICE’ protocol to a whole new level. With today’s ever increasing pressures on a quick return to fitness, Game Ready plays a significant role.”

“Having been a professional rugby player for the past 10 years I have experienced my fair share of injuries.  In that time I have also experienced and seen many different forms of treatment for the management of acute injury and can honestly say that Game Ready has been the most efficient at reducing swelling and pain.  The ease of use, no mess and the quality of cold and compression is unlike any other machine on the market.  It is our unit of choice for the New Zealand All Blacks and is now the unit of choice at my current club, Leicester Tigers.  I would recommend Game Ready to anyone who has had an acute injury or has just undergone surgery if you want to improve your chances of a faster recovery.”

“We have found the Game Ready System to be an extremely useful tool in reducing pain and swelling in both pre and post operative trauma patients. It is easy to use for both patients and staff and you can objectively measure the difference it makes to our patients with respect to swelling.”

"After multiple Anterior Cruciate ligament injuries, I was introduced to Game Ready 2-3 weeks prior to my third operation.  I was low in confidence and concerned about the length of recovery from the impending surgery.  I was told about the benefits and the science behind Game Ready, so I invested in one and since then it’s played an imperative part in my recovery.  Due to the reduction in pain and swelling, Game Ready allowed me to be up and mobile at least 3-4 weeks sooner than expected. The level of cold and compression is very effective without being uncomfortable and better than anything I’ve tried before.  No more messy ice packs or compression sleeves, just one system that is easy to use, safe, and very portable.  Amazing!  I’ve returned to premiership rugby and have been playing for 14 months for Bath Rugby and would recommend the Game Ready system to anyone looking to make an efficient and thorough recovery.”

“Our staff have been using Game Ready systems at the local military camp for over a year and have been so impressed not only with the enhanced recovery rate of musculo-skeletal injuries and post Orthopaedic surgery, but also for more chronic problems including low back pain and tendonitis.

With a team of 16 Chartered Physiotherapists covering five busy clinics, as well as servicing NHS, corporate and military contracts, we now have Game Ready systems at all our treatment centres. We are also finding being able to provide rental systems for our post-op Orthopaedic patients to use at home invaluable for reducing pain & swelling, not to mention greatly increasing recovery rates.  Certainly more effective clinically than any other cold & compression modality.”

“I have been training for my next Ultra Marathon (The Marathon des Sables), due to be held in April 2010.  Unfortunately, I recently injured my knee, which forced me to stop training.  The problem was diagnosed quickly and the initial aim was to reduce the swelling and improve my comfort levels.  I was offered the option to rent a Game Ready unit from my Physio, an icing/ compression machine that apparently is used widely by premiership football and rugby clubs.  I was initially a bit reluctant, as I did not think it would help too much.  How wrong I was!!  Not only does it relieve the swelling and pain, but it does so with no mess.  No more frozen peas!! The other great thing is that once it is on you can literally use it 24/7, you can even sleep in it.  I would definitely recommend the Game Ready system to anyone who has an injury and wants to get it sorted quickly.”

Alex Brierley (Ultra Marathon Runner)

“I have been unfortunate in the last year to have had three operations on my knees.  It wasn’t until after my second operation that I came into contact with Game Ready whilst away on camp with England Rugby.  I was immediately amazed by how effective it could be at managing swelling and aiding me in increasing my training volume.  Since then I have bought my own Game Ready and after my last operation it has taken a dramatically shorter time to reduce swelling and transition through the rehabilitation process.  Just being able to put it on straight after a session or while you’re sleeping without any mess or hassle is a real plus for me.  I can’t actually say enough good things about it.  It’s so simple to use and very effective at what it does.”

“Late last year I underwent an ACL reconstruction following an injury sustained earlier during the cricket season.  My consultant left me in no doubt that in order to stand any chance of returning to work within a reasonable length of time (never mind playing again), that the immediate post-op period was crucial to the entire process – not only in terms of physiotherapy but in particular ensuring that the swelling be reduced and maintained.

That is where the Game Ready system really came into its own, permitting consistent and repeated treatment, the result of which was that I was up on crutches within 3-4 working days, able to undertake all my physiotherapy exercises and ultimately returned to work within 2 weeks, rather than the minimum 5 weeks that my GP had predicted.  Working in the City in this economic climate meant that it was imperative for me to return to work as quickly as possible.  In order to achieve this I was fortunate enough to be able to access a first-class surgeon and physiotherapist, but it was without doubt the Game Ready system that did the trick.”

“After I retired from competitive international swimming, I’ve been an active young professional working for an international company, including long travel trips and hours.  Following a ski accident and surgery on my left knee ACL, my normal life of activities, including travel, became much more complicated, and I faced a long recovery with continuous swelling and complications.  Dealing with this, Game Ready was been the best tool to solve the continued swelling that plagued my day-to-day life.  It wasn’t just effective, it was simple.  While I slept my knee kept getting better.  I’m not a fan of sitting at home or on the sidelines so Game Ready was the best thing to help me get back to work and play.  Now I’m travelling again and doing all the running, golfing, and fun activities I want with my friends.  Without Game Ready, I can’t imagine how long it would have taken to fully recover – Thanks Game Ready!”
